Friday was a very eventful day for Elliott Sadler. Yesterday afternoon, Elliott told the media that he was going to be driving for Kevin Harvick Inc. full-time next year in the Nationwide Series. About an hour later during AAA Texas 500 qualifying, with a lap of 27.636 seconds, Elliott won his first Cup Series pole since Talladega in 2006 in the number 19 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford. None of his competitors were even close to putting a lap like that down. This means that Sadler has gotten a pole in each NASCAR Series - Truck, Nationwide and Cup - this season. To make his day even better, Sadler came home with a fifth place finish in last night's Truck race, the WinStar World Casino 350K. Good luck in the 2011 Season, Elliott!
