Lofton, who
started second, fell back to seventh within three laps and that's what it took
for him to learn what to do to make the truck better for the rest of the
race. Leading for a total of forty-four
laps, including the last ten, he crossed the Start/Finish Line 0.261 seconds
before Brad Keselowski.
This win at
Charlotte Motor Speedway was the first one in the Camping World Truck Series for
both Lofton and Eddie Sharp Racing; in his fifty-five starts, Lofton's best
finish was third. In addition to the win,
Lofton took over first place in the Camping World Truck Series point standings,
leading by one point over Timothy Peters.
I just
wanted to say a massive congratulations to Justin Lofton, Eddie Sharp Racing, College
Complete, and the whole No. 6 team on their first win - you all put an immense
amount of dedication and work into the team!
