Lenox Tools 301
This weekend was no surprise, Jimmie Johnson won again. He is now tied with Denny Hamlin, each having five wins this season.
During the earlier part of the race, Kasey Kahne was the dominant car. He was able to lead 110 laps until his engine blew up.
After Kasey was out of the race, Jeff Burton was dominant, leading 89 laps. A late-race altercation between him and Kyle Busch took both out of contention for the win, when Burton got loose and went up into Busch. Kyle finished 11th and Burton 12th.
After the caution between Kyle and Jeff, on lap 293 the Green Flag waved in the air. Jimmie, Kurt, Kevin, Jeff Gordon and Ryan led the field. On lap 294, Kurt bumps Jimmie in Turn 4 and took the lead away from Jimmie. On lap 300, as the White Flag waved, Johnson got around Kurt to take the lead. At this point, Stewart was also able to get around Kurt for second. On lap 301, Jimmie took the checkered flag, getting his fifth win of the season and second win in a row.
Point Standings! Kevin Harvick continues to lead Jimmie Johnson by 105 points. Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Jeff Gordon are your top five in points. Joey Logano is creeping his way up the point standings, currently in 16th, only 99 points out of twelfth. Come on Joey!!
