Last weekend’s Nationwide pre-race prayer at Nashville by Joe Nelms was one to be remembered. Some found the prayer extremely funny while others found the prayer tactless because they felt it made a mockery of what the prayer should be. Joe managed to hold the attention of everyone at the track – including the drivers, officials, fans, and crews – which not many prayers do. I mean, how many times do you see drivers getting antsy on Pit Road and start looking around? Well not this time.
You knew it was coming….that’s right, it was made into a song, much like the ever-popular, “Boys, have at it!”
