Weekend Schedule for October 7 - October 9

This weekend Kansas Speedway is hosting the ARCA, Nationwide, and Sprint Cup Series races; while the Camping World Truck Series has the weekend off.


Lug Nuts of Information
  • The ARCA Series is back after a month long break.
    • Ty Dillon is the points leader with 4525 points; second-place Chris Buescher is back 350 points.
    • There are only two races left in the 2011 season.
  • The Nationwide Series drivers survived the Monster Mile and are on their way to Kansas.
    • With only five races left this season, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., remains the point leader with a 22 point lead over second-place Elliott Sadler.
    • Fifty-one cars have been entered to try to qualify for the race.
    • Third-place in the championship contention, Reed Sorenson has been fired from Turner Motorsports.  To read the full article, click here.  
  • The Sprint Cup Series Chase is heating up as they roll into Kansas.
    • With only seven races left in the Chase, Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick are tied for first-place in the Chase, each with 2122 points.
    • Austin Dillon will be making his Sprint Cup Series debut this weekend in the No. 98 Mike Curb Ronald Reagan Centennial Chevrolet.
