Fox Transferring Races to Speed?

It seems like all kind of news has been breaking lately; and in addition to all that, Fox has expressed interest in allowing Speed to televise some of the Sprint Cup races.  When asked, David Hill, the Fox Sports chairman, suggested airing as many as six of the thirteen Cup races that Fox currently airs, on
Speed.

As some of you know, Fox is currently five years into an eight-year contract with NASCAR that binds Fox to air all of the thirteen Cup races (except for the Gatorade Duels and All-Star Race – which are already aired on Speed).  This would mean that Fox would have to revise the contract to allow Speed to televise the races.  Many people are skeptical that the eight-year contract, up in 2014, will be edited before then.

I guess all we can do is sit back and wait to see what happens.

  1. what about people that can't afford cable and can't get speed so they won't be able to watch the races they better just leave it the way it is so people can enjoy the races
