NASCAR and Goodyear Contract Extension

It was announced on Monday that Goodyear and NASCAR have extended their contract through the 2017 season.  Goodyear, who has been with NASCAR since the 1950s, and more specifically all three series since 1997, has signed an agreement stating they will remain the official tire used in NASCAR's top three series: the Camping World Truck Series, the  Nationwide Series, and the Sprint Cup Series.

You all know when the drivers don't like the tires, they make sure everyone knows: the media, the fans, their owner, the list goes on and on, but they also let Goodyear know.  Goodyear then does whatever they can to make the tires more suitable for the drivers' liking, while still maintaining the reputation of creating safe, reliable, and fast tires for the NASCAR teams (in all of the top three series) to put into use.

NASCAR's chief sales officer said, "Our longtime relationship with Goodyear is a testament to the company's consistent high-quality tire it supplies the race teams."
