Why Hello There

Why hello there, long time no talk.

This is such an odd feeling - sitting down, signing into the blog, and writing again. I'd be lying if I said that it didn't take five attempts to get my email and password combination right. If we're going to be honest, the last time I was on here, I told you all about my career change and had really no intentions of coming back. I was drained both mentally and physically from school and my passion for the sport dwindled to almost nothing.  I was tired of being asked why I wasn't writing, mainly because I didn't know how to tell everyone that I was exhausted.  At 20, I had kept at this blog for five years and for someone that young, it was draining.

I've done some pretty cool things since August of 2015: I interned with Belk in their corporate office, HQ Charlotte at Packard Place, Continental Tire, and BSN Medical and I even got an extremely fluffy puppy.  What's even cooler for me is that when I started this blog, I was barely a sophomore in high school and today, I sit here a short 55 days away from graduating from UNC Charlotte with degrees in both Mass Media Communications and Psychology.

Lilly Belle, the very fluffy puppy
I can't help but to think back to June of 2010 when I started this blog; I was naive, confused, and had no idea what I was going to do with my life. But now, in March of 2017, it's never been clearer. I'm more than 100% sure that Digital Marketing is what I'm supposed to be doing and I can't help but think that this blog is where that love bloomed. If it weren't for my consistent posting of article links on social media, this blog would've never taken off and who knows where I would be right now.  All I know is that when anyone looks at my resume to hire me, they are always impressed with my blog and how I was able to grow it into what it is today.  So maybe I was never really meant to be a NASCAR Pit Reporter, maybe there was always a bigger plan out there for me and this was just a stop along the way to get me to where I needed to be.

All I know is, without the support of all of my followers, readers, family, and friends, I would have never had the confidence to pursue Digital Marketing, so thank you all.
