Ryan Truex Takes the Wheel for Phoenix Racing No. 51 at Dover International 
                                                         Speedway
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (September 23, 2013) – Ryan Truex will drive the No. 51 
Shooters Sporting Center Chevrolet this weekend for Phoenix Racing in the AAA 
400 at Dover International Speedway.
 
“I can’t wait to get back in the seat of the No. 51 Shooters Sporting Center 
Chevrolet for Phoenix Racing at Dover,” said Truex. “I am grateful to Harry Scott Jr. 
for the opportunity to compete in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. I’m going to make 
the most out of this opportunity.”
 
Truex has competed in the No. 51 on two previous occasions this season including at 
Bristol Motor Speedway under the lights and at Richmond International Raceway two 
weeks later on September 6, 2013. Truex, 21 from Mayetta, NJ, has raced in 35 NASCAR 
Nationwide Series races over the past three years with two Top 5 and nine Top 10 finishes. 
In 2012 Truex captured the pole position in the June NNS event at Dover International 
Speedway in No. 20 for Joe Gibbs Racing with a strong second place finish. 
 
“I love racing at Dover. It is my home track in the national series. The Monster Mile’s 
high banks are fun to drive, I’ve had a lot of success competing there,” said Truex.
 
The primary sponsor on the No. 51 will be Shooters Sporting Center, which is an indoor 
shooting range for firearms and archery enthusiasts. Located near Ryan’s hometown in Egg 
Harbor, NJ, Shooters Sporting Centers celebrates its Grand Opening on Saturday,

“I’m proud to have Shooters Sporting Center sponsoring my car at Dover. The Shooters 
Sporting Center is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts to sharpen their skills at the 
range,” said Truex.
 
Another sponsor on the car is a company with local ties. SeaWatch International makes 
seafood products from high quality offshore clams and was founded in Milford, DE in 
1978 and today is headquartered in Easton, MD.
 
About Phoenix Racing Phoenix Racing, which was established in 1989, is owned and operated 
by Harry Scott, Jr. and competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Scott purchased the team 
from long-time owner James Finch in September 2013. His vision is to build a championship 
contender in due time by developing talented young drivers, partnering with 
dedicated sponsors and competing hard every week.
