High Point University, Here I Come

I know I haven't written anything in a really long time, but I have a good, legitimate reason - I was applying for college as many of you already know.  However, the lack of articles the past couple of months paid off - I made it through the college application process virtually unscathed…I'm not going to even count the sleepless nights, stressing out, and emotional breakdowns.

Over the past month, I've made it into three colleges and I'm still waiting for two more; however, my decision has already been made.  Yesterday, I got into High Point University, my top college, so bright and early Monday morning, my enrollment deposit will be sent in to reserve my seat.  To say I was ecstatic when I got the envelope is actually quite the understatement…I started crying.  I've been stalking the mailbox for the past week to see if my acceptance letter had come in the mail, so when my mom told me yesterday that there was no mail, I was not a happy camper.  I was told that we had to go to my grandma's house to drop off Christmas cards and all I wanted to do was go home and mope because my letter wasn't there.  When we got to my grandma's house, she asked me how I was, to which I sarcastically responded, "Just peachy!"   That's when I was handed the giant envelope from High Point that said Congratulations! across the front.  *Cue the tears.* Let's just say that I was extremely happy and if it was up to me, I would have submitted my deposit right then and there, but it has to wait until Monday.

So now it's official, next year at this time, I'll be in North Carolina at school.  As for right now, I can get back to writing articles and everything will go back to normal - I hope.  All I have left that's college-related is applying for scholarships, and thankfully, that won't interfere with writing articles, which makes me happy.

Thank you all for sticking with me through the past four months and this website will be back to normal in no time!
